The Architecture and Design Festival

Now in its seventh year, the Architecture and Design Festival is co-located with Techno+Stone and showcases the best in Ukrainian architecture with exhibits from the National Union of Architects, the Ukrainian Academy of Architecture and Architectural Workshops. The popularity of the Festival benefits visitors and exhibitors at Techno+Stone as the attending architects and building designers are key influencers in the purchase of the products and services on display.

To reward exceptional work and raise the profile of the architectural sector in Ukraine, the National Union of Architects has included the National Architectural Competition within the Architecture and Design Festival. This prestigious annual competition attracts a great deal of attention and is helping to accelerate the standard of architecture throughout the country.

Categories for the National Architectural Competition 2007 include:

  • City-building
  • Buildings and constructions
  • Dwellings
  • Cottages and villas
  • Interiors and design
  • Contribution to the development of native architecture
  • The ATM category (general sponsor): water taming (aqua parks, swimming pools etc).

The ‘Volute’ prize is awarded to the winning project in each category and the ‘Bolshaya Volute’ is a special prize awarded for major achievement in the field of architecture. See Winners 2006 (in Ukrainian Only).

Although displaying artefacts at the Architecture and Design Festival is subject to an exhibitor’s fee, you will be automatically entered into the National Architectural Competition free of charge. Entries into the competition must be projects realised from 2002 to the present day.
